![]() | Atari 2600 - Video Game Console
Buy used from: $62.00 Playing hit arcade games in your underwear was first made possible by Atari.

![]() | Sega CD System - Video Game Console
Buy used from: $59.99 Games on CDs were awesome back then and a very big deal. The internal memory was a problem; you could create a game save for about 2 or 3 games before it was full. You still had that huge library of hit Genesis games to preoccupy you. A shame it cost so much for so few CD games. But like a Neo Geo, if you had one it was cool.

![]() | Nintendo N64 Console W/ One Controller
Buy used from: $27.98 I hated 3D games (they were so ugly) until Mario 64 and Wave Race came around. And don't forget Nintendo's use of an analog stick that inspired everyone to rush out and make their own like that awful Dual-Shock controller Sony STILL uses today... 2 systems later. Don't mess with perfection now!

![]() | Sega Dreamcast Console
Buy new: $92.91 / Used from: $21.99 Poor Dreamcast. The only system that died after doing everything right. It sold millions of units, had great launch titles, more hit games every month, tons of new peripherals, the VMU memory cards (finally no internal RAM for Sega!), and even online support. Someone pulled the plug and we had to grab an Xbox for DOA, Max Payne, TJ and Earl 3, JSR Future, and Ethernet. But it went out with a bang!

![]() | Pikachu Gameboy Advance SP Limited Edition Yellow Game Boy GBA
Buy used from: $109.95 Nintendo has always been big on resisting new technology. From the cartridge games of the N64 to the low graphical quality of the Wii. GBA was no different. Gameboy finally had a back lit screen, 12 years after the Game Gear did it. In their defense battery life was a bigger concern for them. The games on the GBA are some of the best ever.

![]() | Microsoft Xbox - Video Game Console
Buy used from: $41.95 I knew memory cards were a scam! I knew it! I knew it! After that sorry American made Jaguar I was glad to see the American designed Xbox become a success. Also thanks to Bioware, Criterion Games, Remedy Games, and Bungie it was abundantly clear that fun and original games were not only coming out of Japan.

![]() | Wii
Buy new: $199.99 / Used from: $100.00 Nintendo loves to make proprietary junk (Power Glove, Super Scope, Virtual Boy, uh... Balance Board) but they did good making the Wiimote. There's just nothing else like it and it's so versatile. The Xbox appears to have greatly inspired the Wii's internal memory (but it's not a hard drive, CHEAPSKATES!) and online downloads. I do love the Wi-Fi.

![]() | Xbox 360 250GB Console
Buy new: $299.99 / Used from: $285.99 Slim, Silent, and with new Wi-Fi capabilities. Now you've got all the awesome Xbox games you expect plus motion controlled games with super graphics when you buy the Kinect Sensor.
|
![]() | Kinect Sensor with Kinect Adventures!
Buy new: $149.99 A new slim system alone is pretty cool but wait until you see the Kinect Sensor for motion controlled gaming. I just hope they keep making games for it.
