Average customer review:Product Description
You can protect your Wii Remote, with the Wii MotionPlus connected, from the wear and tear of everyday use with this stylish silicone sleeve from CTA Digital. The soft silicone material acts as an absorbent to lessen the impact in the event of the remote being tossed or dropped, which is sure to happen with active game playing. The cover has cut-out openings in areas that correspond with the buttons to allow easy accessibility. Perfect for preserving your Wii Remote with MotionPlus adapter connected in mint condition as it was when first purchased. This silicone sleeve is truly a must have for every Wii MotionPlus owner.

Replacement Wii MotionPlus Sleve
I bought this as a replacement for the original Wii MotionPlus Sleeve that came with the module. My 3-year old son was unable to understand the complicated method for removing the OEM sleeve and tore it. I was quite relieved upon receiving this aftermarket sleeve that it is installed and removed from the bottom rather then disconnecting the module and removing the remote from the middle of the sleeve. This should save me from having to buy another one and is the reason for a slightly higher than average rating.
It is made out of the same clear silicone (not silicon as the product title states - ???) as the OEM sleeve but it is MUCH thinner. It feels a little cheap and will probably do less to protect the remote when dropped. It is also smooth without all of the ridges that the OEM has to help with grip so there's a greater risk of dropping it. Only time will tell if this thinner silicone will stand up to two young boys so for now I am mixed on whether it's a good purchase or not.
Meh...
The simple fact is while this sleeve has it's advantages (being able to 'slide' the wiimote from the bottom up as opposed to the tugging and pulling of a Nintendo brand sleeve), the official Nintendo brand sleeves that Nintendo sells directly are cheaper, sturdier, and don't feel all latex-ey (and that's the last thing I want something shaped like the Wii remotes to feel like). Not recommended but not completely useless either I guess; though there is no reason to buy this because as stated, official sleeves are actually cheaper than this knock-off, and that includes shipping. BLAH.
Wii Grip
When it does come down to the Nintendo Wii, it definitely has shown to be one of the most definitive game systems on the market. Yet when there is a great accessory, there always can be one that isn't so great, and that comes with CTA. When they've made several different accessories for the Wii, they've just felt like they have been more novelties, and not really strongly made for all gamers. For CTA, they've also made a sleeve for the Wii-mote, which handles for the specialty use of the Wii's Motion Plus. While it might be a great idea, the grip is much better on the one you get when you buy the Wii-mote & the motion Plus add-on together. Overall, I honestly have said this before and I will keep saying it. Stick with Nintendo's accessories for the Wii.
